For this episode I decided to mix it up a bit and speak with elite runners Amanda Basham and Zac Marion about how we can use an off season to better help our over all training.  It was a fun discussion with them about the science behind taking a rest and letting our bodies recover from the massive strain we put on all of them.  Enjoy!

Jared is a legend here in Utah and I was awestruck speaking to him and found myself bumbling over my words.  He's a great guy and has done some incredible incredible things.  His love of adventure is obvious and it made me want to get out on the trails and go exploring instead of worrying about my time.

I came across Rachel's story as I was checking Facebook and a Runner's World article popped up.  It spoke of her unique story of how she quit modeling to pursue running and I knew I wanted to hear more.  Rachel is an amazing person and it was fun speaking with someone who not only loves to run, but you can tell she enjoys pushing herself to be the best she can be.  As she spoke about running, you could hear the competitive spirit in her voice and in her mannerisms.  Enjoy Rachel's story, and let's all wish her luck in her races!
